Mecah

Mecah joined the Bloorcourt team in 2020 and assists our clients and our pet patients as a veterinary assistant. She has many years of veterinary clinic experience and began her career at her local clinic at the age of 15! Mecah is also a student in the Sociology and Urban Community Arts program at York University, and after graduation hopes to return to school to become certified as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). She has a particular interest in Neurology and Behavioural Sciences, and her goal is to better understand animal behaviour so she can better support pets that struggle with emotional and mental disorders.  

Mecah is a compassionate soul and her dual loves are animals (especially her lovebird Peach) and the arts. She is an interdisciplinary artist and is committed to engaging with her community and uplifting others. When she isn't juggling work and school, Mecah is also a dedicated pet sitter, trusted by many members of our Bloorcourt team to care for our pets when we’re away! When pursuing her own adventures, Mecah travels the world while doing what she loves best - caring for all animals!
